Aishwarya at Day of Peace at United Nation Headquarters
International Day of Peace was organised by United Nations on September 21 Friday to preserve the peace around the world. Among the top celebrities it was Aishwarya Rai along with Michael Douglas were present to attend the International Day of Peace at United Nations at New York headquarters. Escorting them are the Hollywood known stars like Jane Goodall, Nobel Laureate Elie Wiesel, Forest Whitaker and Monique Coleman. Ban Ki-moon the UN chief was also present at UN headquarters.
Aishwarya recited the famous Sanskrit mantra 'Om Shanti' to convey her way into achieving the peace. She was spotted with the children and urged them to stand by peace in the coming years of their life. For Aishwarya personally it was an absolute honour and she further gestured that "She is glad to be a participant among the Hollywood big stars and it was whole new experience being at the UN headquarters."
Bachchan also gestured that she is glad that she is able to contribute towards world peace. Later on the event she posed for the exclusive photographs with children.
